Slime Care Guide

With proper care, slimes can last several months. However, it’s normal for them to deflate or melt over time. Good news though, fixing your slime’s consistency is usually quick and easy!

Tips to Help Your Slime Last Longer

  • WASH YOUR HANDS

    If your slime is feeling sticky, it could be because your hands are dirty. Make sure you wash your hands and dry them thoroughly.

  • KEEP IT SEALED

    Your Slime will dry out much faster if it isn't sealed tightly in a jar. Make sure you put it back as soon as you are done using it.

  • HANDLE QUICKLY

    Play with Slime quickly so it doesn't stick to your hands! If you let it sit on your hands for too long, you will have a sticky residue.

  • USE ACTIVATOR SOLUTION

    Regularly reactivate your Slime with the Slime Activator Solution included in your order to maintain its texture.

Fix Sticky Slime

Slime may arrive sticky due to shipping or warmer weather conditions. If your just delivered slime package feels warm, put slime containers in the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes to cool down and they should be good to go. If slime is still sticky or under activated, follow the steps below:

1. Add 1/2 TSP of activator solution at a time or carefully dip slime in activator. *If you add too much activator your slime with get too hard so make sure you only add very small
amounts at a time.

2. Knead your slime until you feel it getting to the consistency you want. Repeat step 1 if you’d like your slime to be a little firmer.

Fix Stiff Slime

Slime can stiffen due to over-activating or colder weather months. If slime containers feel cold, you can make sure the lid is on extra tight and put slime jar in a warm bowl of water for a couple minutes (this is the best process for clear slimes). If slime is still stiff, you can add a couple pumps of unscented lotion or a few drops of glycerin oil to reach your desired level of stretchiness

Mix Activator Solution

You can all always refer to your Slime Care Card included in your order. Quick and Simple Activator Recipe:

1. Mix 1 tsp borax to 1 cup of warm water.

2. Stir the solution until the borax dissolves.

3. Store remainder in an empty spray bottle for later in a marked container! You may need it again.
